@carolannie Thanks, I’m almost a dab hand at making it now.

The best thing is there’s no hurry to use most of it so it can mature and give the fungi a chance to develop in it before I use it on the beds.

@MostlyTato Thanks. Different compost piles for each of the seasons really. The extra work for the hot compost does show but the other piles will make good mulching compost.

The robins were flitting about the whole time I was there.

More wood chip turned up today outside the allotments too.

@Pollinators Making compost is always a good journey to go on. The trug fulls are just what the home raised bed needs for the growing year ahead.

It’s amazing how much the soil level drops in that bed with all year round intensive veg growing. Plants are hungry things.
