Literally every rich and powerful person in your society envisions a future for you that looks like Dubai. And in that story, you aren't gonna be one of the people eating fois gras in the luxury bar.
They aren't hiding it either. So prolly time to figure out if that's cool with you or if you intend to do something to change the present course our society is on. Because it ends in Dubai - and Dubai is not for, and has not ever been for, the labor class.
People need to go vote, even if its holding their noses. And then hang around at the legal distance to make sure everyone gets to vote.

Voting is a critical piece of democracy they are trying to take away from us. I will defend it and continue to work at a community level to raise up good people to vote for. The defeatist attitude you are expressing is exactly what the facists hope for so they can walk happily over you. Your fall back line for the revolt you keep pushing for after the vote is gone will undoubtedly be something like, "we can't shoot back because they have tanks". Nihilism is not a strategy. It's extinction.

Would a fair system have forced the American people to choose between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump? Or Joe Biden and Donald Trump? Or Kamala Harris and Donald Trump? Please note that ALL of these candidates supported genocide in Gaza absolutely, although the majority of Americans oppose it.
