Literally every rich and powerful person in your society envisions a future for you that looks like Dubai. And in that story, you aren't gonna be one of the people eating fois gras in the luxury bar.

They aren't hiding it either. So prolly time to figure out if that's cool with you or if you intend to do something to change the present course our society is on. Because it ends in Dubai - and Dubai is not for, and has not ever been for, the labor class.

People need to go vote, even if its holding their noses. And then hang around at the legal distance to make sure everyone gets to vote.

So we can pick from the choices that the oligarchs have selected for us. The corrupt, fascist choices?

Why? To validate a system that is hopelessly corrupt and killing off the entire human race?

@Quasit @oldoldcojote @AnarchoNinaWrites

Mm, impressive: you would have us repudiate the single avenue left available for non-violent change. In my eyes, that a Fail.

@northernlights @oldoldcojote @AnarchoNinaWrites A general strike is the single avenue left for nonviolent change. Voting is just a shell game that we can never win. Or do you REALLY believe that the oligarchs don't decide who all the candidates are?

Would a fair system have forced the American people to choose between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump? Or Joe Biden and Donald Trump? Or Kamala Harris and Donald Trump? Please note that ALL of these candidates supported genocide in Gaza absolutely, although the majority of Americans oppose it.

Just a wacky coincidence, you think?

If the oligarchs choose every Democratic candidate, how did Mamdani win the nomination?

Harris did not agree with Gaza; she was ready to shut Israel down once elected, but her wretched handlers (yes, the oligarchs) pivoted her to the centre and lost her the election.

I agree with about the general strike, BTW. So that's two avenues, in my opinion.
