my recent frustration with this was the FDA petition which people were convinced meant a trans estrogen ban was imminent. when i tried to fact check it using my experience covering the federal government, people in my replies refused to believe it.

i didn't even bother to try to fact check the false ICE is targeting trans people thing after that. not worth getting yelled at.
