Jolly possums! (I presume).

🌳 I found one of the netting bags on the ground under the quince tree, without a bare fruit on the tree or a dropped fruit on the ground. Grrrr. Some are ripe or close to, so I better start the picking.

πŸ“ I lost all of my strawberries this past year (as mentioned prev) except for 3 plants from runners that managed to survive the drought and neglect until Jan this year when I started to nurture them. One of those has produced a set of flowers and I picked πŸ“πŸ“ 2 perfect, ripe strawberries πŸ“πŸ“ this morning for breakfast.

🌧️ It rained well overnight - gentle, almost silent rain - and the ground is soaked. I am very happy about this state of affairs. Unless it was an April Fools' joke.

🌻 Gracing the table today, yellow nasturtium flowers.

I would love a quince tree.

@LifeTimeCooking Damn possums. Our local bandicoots have been digging holes in the gardens and grass. Thankfully we’ve been able to keep them out of the veggie beds.

That overnight rain sounds wonderful. I’ve got my fingers crossed for some here this afternoon.
