Konstantin ðŸ”@can yeah, you will find the same in all of our eID / wallet apps in BE and NL. We're fully independent and yet somehow I can't file my taxes if us-east-1 goes down.
wojtek@iamkonstantin @can while true, I still wouldn't be too harsh - as the saying goes "Rome wasn't built in one day". And if you have the ecosystem migrating from one cloud operator town another is somewhat simpler then inventing whole payment system over night.
Besides - our current cloud offering is still developing :/

Sadly whole "cloud market" is dominated by usanian big tech... there is OVH, Scalloway and German Lidl / Swartz (if memory serves me right) but It may not be enough. Also - there is a high chance that the tech team WSS more familiar with established stack, so to push the effort "out of the gate" they opted for AWS...
I do want tj feel optimistic that in the meantime they are evaluating alternatives... (not tj mention that AWS is absurdly overpriced...)

Same here, I'm staying optimistic and as soon as Wero is available at my bank I'll still sign up :)
The European cloud in general is still in the works I believe - f.e. STACKIT only just started working on their cloud offering and that obviously takes time to build out...
