This year’s Trans Day of Visibility gets rescheduled to the next day you’re voting. I had too many people who don’t consider themselves transphobic vote conservative out of disinterest or tradition. These people either have no fucking clue what the consequences for me and my community are or expect me to not mention it. Of course, they’re not even aware of the consequences for their own lives.
If you want to show up for the trans community AND yourself, include us in your calculation next time you’re voting.

Also, if you have trans people in your life, make sure they feel safe and loved during these difficult times. The attacks keep coming, and we need people who see what’s happening.
