Phở@zipkid @alice @lowqualityfacts Barilla not only canned its CEO & profusely apologized for his homophobia, the company immediately initiated a massive restructuring that included reforming internal policies, appointing a chief diversity officer, & partnering with LGBTQ advocacy groups such as GLAAD & Human Rights Campaign.
Every year since 2014, Barilla has earned a perfect 100% score on the Human Rights Campaign's Corporate Equality Index, becoming a leader in LGBTQ+, women, & ethnic/racial minorities inclusion.
I only know this because I'd been boycotting Barilla since 2013 & then very recently encountered it when I was cooking for elderly shut-ins with donated Barilla pasta. When my test-bite was absofucking delicious, I went to my phone-puter to research the latest.
That makes me think i may reconsider.
On the other hand, if they just forbade the CEO to talk, while them still being an asshole, and collecting the earnings, i would still support the boycott.
