dragonfrog@cargot_robbie While I don't wear skirts myself, I'll note that skirtguards for bikes are relatively inexpensive (and also there are patterns to crochet one's own if one is so inclined).
Since getting a Dutch "omafiets" I have no more worries about ruining loose trouser cuffs in the chain, since the chain is fully enclosed. Though, investing in a whole new bike may be more than any convenience is worth to you.
@dragonfrog Luckily I got a bike with skirt guards, so no new bike needed ✨ A crocheted version would probably look better though
@cargot_robbie skirt guards I was thinking would be easy to fit to most existing bikes, it was the Dutch style full chain enclosure I thought would be harder to add to whatever bike you have - definitely wouldn't fit on any bike with derailleurs, and maybe would have other limits.
