Someone I know, who works at #Southwest #airlines at the #Oakland Airport tells me that the #PortofOakland is raising their costs, and that Southwest is thinking about pulling out of #OAK. If that happens, #OaklandAirport is in danger of closure. We agreed that we haven't seen this mentioned in the news, so I'm sharing it here. #sfbayarea

1. People in the area have to fly via SFO or San Jose, and fly whatever airlines and routes are offered there.
2. Oakland loses income.
3. SFO and SJC get more congested.
