@ambergrey Possibly study and represent its ethnic origins. Maybe use other scales than western (not germain to a guitar though). For example, I’ve been learning to play ragas (Indian scales). My partner plays the tabla (tuned in D#) and I got the Kaylan scale down and look forward to playing with her soon. Via midi connection I can play a sitar with my guitar. Just some quick thoughts.

@GuitarSith thanks Rob 💛🙌🎸that touched my heart. I’m also thinking about doing some listening studies with Sly Stone, Jimi Hendrix, Rosetta Tharpe, and Lead Belly. Just the first ideas, it’ll pan out over the next year or two hopefully

That’s awesome Amber. Check out Robert Johnson, Elizabeth Cotten, Bo Diddley, Memphis Minnie, Muddy Waters and Albert Collins as well. Chuck Berry, Prince and even Jimmy Page were hugely influenced by them. They’re also a great source for open tunings. 😊

Maybe you can use that idea in the branding of your future punk band? I'd buy that t-shirt I think.
