If you are bringing in US dollars, they’ll convert exceptionally well. But: petrol probably works out to be $9 a gallon, food is more expensive (but mostly better quality), houses are really expensive for the shacks they are, and everyone is paid a lot, lot less (think average = US poverty line).
I’m broke brother. I’m on public assistance and my government refuses to believe I have debilitating mental illness. I worked my entire career in healthcare paying into a system that now ignores my suffering.

@bazurk I’m so sorry bro. God knows we need good health workers here. As in both health department and frontline. There are openings but they won’t pay for your relocation.
And immigration is that much harder if you declare any illnesses, which also sucks.
