It looks like an E-3 sentry was not "damaged" but destroyed by Iran. Also remember that Putin supports Iran with weapons and intelligence, at the same time Trump refuses to put pressure on Putin, but pressures Ukraine... Also an E-3 is an expensive and strategic asset. Interesting how precisely it was hit at the radar dome.
