And there was some talk about how having this separate stationery fest might alleviate some of the traffic at the pen show because people who go to the pen show for stationery have a different show to go to. I don’t think it’ll affect pen show attendance whatsoever. I feel like even if this show survives and has a couple more years to straighten out, the pen show won’t be affected because SF is starved for stuff like this.
@jezlyn yeah, I really think nothing will change unless something terrible happen inside the venue.
gene x@genex @klizana I don’t know of other major pen or stationery shows in the SF area. There is an SF “pen posse” meetup group which does weekly-ish local meetups, but I don’t usually attend as the timing doesn’t work for me. They’re a lot more chill, of course, and unstructured. I think there’s also a journaling group, but I don’t know the details. Both groups are on Instagram, and possibly Facebook. The SF pen posse also has a Discord channel.
