Today was a challenging day. While I wanted to participate in the anti monarch movement, it was also the day that they opened up the floating bridge on Lake Washington for the light rail line. So I went to that instead.

It was insane the amount of people who showed up for the train. You had full three trains of cars just to load up the first group. There were 4 units per train, which is about double its normal running size. #pugetsound #lightrail #kingcounty #seattle

Now, that didn’t mean there wasn’t resisyance to current movements to be found. They just were more local. There is a move for ranked voting. There is a push to make politicians honor a tax measure that is already been passed to finish the light rails promised. There is a lot of local activism.

It was a good day, and there were protests happening elsewhere, so things are happening. I just dedicated myself to the local celebration and accomplishments over the national issues.
