#cudjointtrpg So, continuing with yesterdays explorations, we move on to 7th Sea. Which we have to log as a failure. Most of the character is easily built, although he ends up way more of a flirt under this system.
However, combat really cares about fencing schools, and while as an afterthought, knives are kinda bundled up with firearms, the system doesnât really care about them. While there may be a supplement that cares more, knife throwing is just a so so option. #7thSea
I should work on other games late, but this is all I had time for today.
Remember, as long as you are having fun, it doesnât matter how âbadâ your character is. Just laugh it off like Cudjo would, and have fun!
Daggerheart
Itâs a close miss. While there is a magic throwing blade available, the rules overall kinda just pretend throwing weapons donât really exist. While backgrounds exist and cover the skill end well, the ability distribution is a little lighter than I would really like. Also, the sneaky type of class is a spellcaster, which isnât the right fit.
You can do it, but it is not the same fantasy. Sorry #daggerheart
Draw Steel : Passes the test very well. You end up building him as an outlaw tactician. Game doesnât punish throwing daggers as such, so itâs a viable option, and while we are not an all out rogue, we have all the right skills to be an acrobatic performer. Well done, Draw Steel!
Itâs time for âWill Cudjo be effective in this system?â, an occasional check on if my favorite character from a pirate film can be effective in a fantasy RPG.

My offering today is just a little goldmine hidden in a slightly underrated film. I actually was amazed when I learned that it even had words, but this is the best version, really.

The people who donât view housing as a human right are those who believe they will always have housing.
They canât fathom becoming disabled, losing their savings or their support network.
They canât comprehend having everything ripped away from them.
They think theyâre the exception.
Theyâre not.
People donât plan for homelessness or disability.
It just takes one accident, illness or stroke of bad luck.
We all need and deserve a safety net.
