The incidence of alpha-gal syndrome appears to be growing significantly. Patients who are bitten can develop a severe allergy to red meat, and a few have died.

@3janeTA @ClimateJenny @DoomsdaysCW it's more than the ability to digest animal protein. Some folks get sick around their pet animals, too. The proteins are in saliva, too.
