@pachli Oh one issue I think got lost, when you reply to a post with a CW theCW edit field is focused and activated, not the body text area.
CW field focused by default · Issue #2238 · pachli/pachli-android

@[email protected] reports: when you reply to a post with a CW the CW edit field is focused and activated, not the body text area. Focus in the body text makes sense, as it's less like...

@dhamlinmusic can you tell me how to reproduce this, I am on the pachli current and i can't seem to be able to reproduce it? @pachli
@Aryan @pachli I get it when using Talkback Braille Keyboard or an external Braille Display. Reply to a post with a Cw and check which edit field it places focus in and activated, it will be the CW not the Body.
@dhamlinmusic @pachli unfortunately i don't have a brail display, and when doing it normaly using the action to reply, it does focus the message body.

@dhamlinmusic I cannot reproduce this either.

I enabled the Talkback Braille keyboard and replied to a post with a CW, and the cursor is placed after the user handles in the body of the post.

I wonder if this depends on the Android version. I have Android 16 (API 36). What do you have?

The "About" screen in Pachli has this information (and a button to copy it).

@dhamlinmusic

It might also depend on the Talkback version installed on your device.

On my device I have to open Android's settings, then Accessibility, then Talkback, then "App Info", which opens the "Android Accessibility Suite" screen.

That says I have version 16.2.0.855052621, installed from the Google Play Store.

/cc @Aryan

@pachli @Aryan Yeah I have the latest versions of ANDROID 16 and Accessibility suite, and this has been happening for nearly a year on multiple devices, and started on older builds of both Android and Accessibility Suite
@dhamlinmusic @pachli Could you try the latest current build please?
@Aryan @pachli not a clue how to go about that, but this issue has been present for a year or more, I reported it at least twice before now, and just again was trying to reply to someone, typed my response to find it was in the CW they had placed, not the body. I have also tested using my braille display instead of the talkback braille keyboard, and on my Lenovo tablet running android 15, and am getting the same results. I have yet to check Tusky but last I used that this did not occur.
@dhamlinmusic @pachli Just download the pachli current app from the playstore, it will install alongside your current pachli app.
@Aryan @pachli Ok getting it about every 3rd or 4th time when I just tested, and getting significantly slower load times and lag from Current
@pachli Awesome update! The post reading is perfect and the simplified notifications in a single element work really well with talkback. Everything is spoken in a convenient order now.
