The drive on the Trans Canada north of Quebec City is pretty while still along the river. The person is biking along a trail that runs along the river. One day, I'd like to stop a while and spend time here. I once lived on the other side of the river, farther to the right.

One of my favourite St. Lawrence drive-bys, because of the old people taking time to enjoy the trail and the old guy is looking at me looking at him. :)

This is part of the drive that is still partially obstructed before clearing for a long while.

Southbound towards Quebec city, more farmland appears. Decades ago, the farmers planted trees to buffer the highway, which, unfortunately, have grown to obstruct a lot of the view.

I've photographed these horses for many years. I haven't been by here in a few years, though, so hope they are still here. I hadn't realized how long-lived horses were until seeing these for more than a decade. :)

This is close to where one turns off towards New Brunswick.

Past the turnoff for New Brunswick, towards Rivière-du-Loup.

Such a beautiful area and the town is very picturesque.

Le plus beau coin de pays selon moi.

It is lovely, my friend and I went by there on the way to Tadoussac and back. On the way back we stopped at "Observatoires astronomique et de l'Astroblème de Charlevoix" (geological and astronomical type museum)

Super recommended. If you can go there at night maybe you can use one of their telescopes (need to make arrangements ahead of time).

@bjb Very cool. The closest I've spent time there was pulling into a motel in Montmagny during a snowstorm and Rivière du Loup when we had car problems. One day...

I lived north-east of Sept Iles for a few years as a kid and always wanted to go back there as well.
