It's that time again where I am asked to write an author bio. What do we think of:

Dr. Amy is the single greatest mind of her generation. She came here to chew gum and fuck things up, and she is fresh out of gum.

@dramypsyd -hands you a pack-

…oh wait wasn't that what you wanted 🤭

@dramypsyd I think "both admired and despised by millions" would add some je ne sais quoi
@joshsusser Ooooh ok this is brilliant and I love it
@dramypsyd
Don't forget "Outrageous!"
@Doomed_Daniel "Some have called her outrageous. They are not wrong, but she takes it as a compliment."
@dramypsyd this is a phenomenal bio!!

@dramypsyd

"Dr Amy came to fight Chuck Norris, but he ran away."

@dramypsyd, just one generation? Make it a millenium or two.
@dramypsyd @catsalad
Are you fresh out of gum or out of fresh gum?

@dramypsyd

"In 1967, I invented air, filling a long-term need."

@the_turtle It was a really big deal because it happened 20 years before I was even born!
@dramypsyd I'll drink to that.
@dramypsyd single greatest author bio, yes.

@dramypsyd Just yoink LRH's author bio:

Dr. Amy: Author, Humanitarian and Visionary

Dr. Amy is universally acclaimed as the single most influential author and humanitarian of this modern age. Her definitive works on the mind and spirit—comprising over 350 million copies in circulation and more than 40 international bestsellers—have resulted in a legacy benefiting millions and a movement spanning all cultures.

Y'know, just normal, down-to-earth stuff.

@dramypsyd I’d vote for Dr. Amy based on this bio
@dramypsyd “she came here to chew gum and fuck shit up, then decided against the gum having seen the state of the place”
@dramypsyd I think that's pretty clear.
@dramypsyd would pay exorbitant speaker fees to have you keynote my event
@dramypsyd We are not yet out of things, nor up.

@dramypsyd Also, she holds the world record in being the most modest person to have ever lived.

That, at least, is the kind of thing I tend to add, because not everybody gets this kind of bio. I am the most helpful person in the world, after all!

@dramypsyd Half serious question: are you referring to the film or to the video game? Because in one it's "bubble gum", in the other "gum".

(Since I have a strong preference for the film, I prefer "bubble gum", but I admit "gum" rolls off the tongue more easily.)

@jens Honestly either. Gun seemed to flow better
