Euro-Office is a new open-source project with the objective of building an online office suite that can open & edit Microsoft Office documents (DOCX, PPTX, XLSX) & OpenDocument formats (ODS, ODT, ODP) used by LibreOffice & OpenOffice.
There's some doubt cast in the article about cooperation between Euro-Office & LibreOffice which hopefully is untrue or disappears. Every solution needs to work together to displace Microsoft.
