Friends! Finally! I got my day of #snowshoeing!! 😀

I didn't even plan to go very far but the snow and the weather were just wonderful and I felt confident to ascend further.

I didn't go to the summit. I just returned at a point where I admitted that I wouldn't do it for the fun but only for being there. So I returned and had an amazing snow day.

I also met a couple several times and had some nice chats with them - Wich contributed to the good day as well.

@TimKStanton indeed it's very beautiful! Some walk uphill along a forest road, but the reward is an area which is just Sooo nice.

@TimKStanton actually, when I decided to return, I thought about some of your posts, and thought "Tim would probably go further, and @jds would probably just run to the summit - but hey, I'm just doing it for the fun and not for any competition. Let's just call it a day and return."

What a coincidence-- when I'm out in the wilderness, I also think what would Franz or @jds do here? Yes, I've definitely been hitting the summits on snowshoes lately, but also have done exactly what you did today-- "just" going to a nice spot and returning. For example, sometimes making waterfalls or a scenic outlook the destination, not the summit. It's all about the experience! 😀
