Metro Transit boosts service to handle 'No Kings' crowd

Metro Transit says it is ready to move throngs of people who choose to leave their cars at home to attend today's "No Kings" rally in St. Paul.
“We’ve done this before,” agency spokesman Drew Kerr said.
Light rail: In anticipation of heavy transit use as attendance could top 100,000, Metro Transit will use three-car trains on the Green Line instead of the customary two. And extra trains will be at the ready. When one fills up, another will roll into the Capitol/Rice Street station, the closest platform to the festivities, Kerr said. …
Transit users can buy an All-Day Pass for $2 to $4, allowing them to take unlimited rides through 2 a.m. Sunday.
