[P] I really do believe that cruelty against otherness is baked into neurotypicals, I don't know what happens to some neurodivervent brains to break us out of it, but I do think the commonality of a fucked dopaminergic system can't be ignored. From all I can muster, a dopaminergic systsm that doesn'f work right results in greater empathy and less tribalism, less of an obsession with harming otherness. So, lobsters.

[P] It's anecdotal, but I noticed that my cat had the cheetah problem. Her body would snap into a killer posture if mice or birds were around, but she'd always feel sad and despondent afterwards if she wasn't hungry and couldn't eat. I began catching my cat whenever I saw that posture, she'd get very nuzzly and affectuinate as if to thank me for not letting her instincts get the better of her. It actually made her happier.
