Your little guide should be required reading for anyone writing a historically correct time travel story to prod them into providing the proper gritty verisimilitude.

rood@sfwrtr @Taweret the entire cosmopolitan attitude was invented AFAIK. Talk to anyone and they'll probably hate your guts with a deep grievance. You really want to be working on gifts, diplomacy, and politeness. But you're probably going to get rough treatment at some point.
