The simple questions cracking the hard problem of consciousness

Do we all see the same red? Or feel joy and sadness alike? Mapping how our inner experiences relate to one another could finally reveal how physical processes in the brain give rise to consciousness

@future_upbeat

According to Penrose and Hameroff and their theory of OrchOR (Orchestrated Objective Reduction), the brain is a receiver to a universal consciousness, it doesn't generate consciousness in itself.

But then again, when you get genocidal warciminal psycopaths like hitler, polpot, trump, putin and netanyahu - something must be out of sorts compared to normal minds.

Consciousness Formed Before Life Itself, Scientists Say—And the Evidence Could Be in This Asteroid Sample

Tantalizing clues in asteroid Bennu samples could reveal particular molecular formations that some scientists say support the workings of consciousness.

@Captain_Jack_Sparrow

I've followed the news about the discovery of organic molecules on the Bennu asteroid with great interest.

I don't think there's such a thing as a universal consciousness.

What's more interesting to me is the chirality of the organic molecules on the Bennu. In life on Earth, almost all amino acids have left-handed chirality, while nucleotides and sugars have right-handed chirality.

Unfortunately, I can trace what the chirality of the organic compounds on the Bennu was.
