#Journal of a slightly rested Dutch AuDHD Pixy
(Friday, 27/03/2026).
I had gone to bed in time, as I was rather tired. I had a short night on both Monday and Wednesday, so I was hoping to be able to “catch up” a bit this night. Of course, it was no guarantee that going to bed early enough would mean that I’d get enough sleep, but I tried… I woke up once for the loo, and when I woke up again, it was about 15 minutes before my alarm was set to go off. According to my watch, I had managed to get about 8½ hours of sleep! And I only had some weird dreams during the first part of my night, so that was a good thing.
I got up, abused the scale, and got dressed. After taking my meds, and packing my bag, I headed to Skoosh. Together, after I cleaned ice of her windows, we skedaddled to the gym. I checked up on my social bits while I was enjoying my protein shake. After that, I started on the recumbent bike. And, again, my leg started to act up after a while. Damn! 😞 I was so bummed that it kept happening, that I only used the massage chair, before I got ready to head home again. This tingling in my leg is worrying me, as the last time it happened so often, it only got worse, and it ended up to me needing surgery (and we all know how that all went last year… 😢).
Skoosh and I got home. I washed up, and headed to the couch. I grabbed my laptop to write my journal toot. I worked on my blog a bit as well. When I was done, I tried to walk the treadmill for a while, and I managed 1,15km, so not that far, but better than nothing. After that, I watched some telly and read a bit in my book. I fixed some food. When the meal had been enjoyed, I headed upstairs, where I tried to ride my bike for a little while.
Back downstairs, I watched some telly, and then I vacuumed the downstairs area. I tried to do it as properly as my hands and back would allow. My mind going to: two of my best friends will visit me next week, so now I need to start getting the house a lot cleaner than usual… 😇 After the vacuuming was done, I needed some relaxing, so I grabbed the doggy book, and I made some progress in that. After a while, it was time to get ready to head to Cuijk.
I visited Lidl first, and got the groceries I needed. I even remembered everything I had wanted to take, so that was a good thing. Then, I drove to the physio. I was a bit too early, but I had my doggy book, so I made some more progress with that one. Slowly, I am getting closer to the end. It’s a very interesting book. Most things I already know/knew, but it’s never bad to refresh the knowledge. Especially with Koa coming in 3 weeks… 🥰 Physio was very helpful, and also a bit painful at times. But, I felt better when I headed to Skoosh, and we skedaddled back home again.
I cleaned up the groceries, and relaxed with some telly for a while. Then, the neighbor texted me, and we went out with the big black 🖤 fluff. He got all his cuddles, and snacks of course, and I headed back home again. Some relaxing with a bit of telly, and then it was time to head to bed. It took a little while before I got comfy enough to fall asleep. I woke up once for the loo. When I woke up again, it was about 45 minutes till the alarm. I had gotten about 7¼ hours of sleep, so not too bad, I guess. I got up, and started my “day”.
