β€œI don’t know”: Department of War fails to justify blacklisting Anthropic.

@arstechnica until the majority of that admin is, at a minimum, locked up for life they're going to keep breaking the law as much as they want.

The only way to stop this is to not only remove these people from power, but to also ensure that they and their supporters are not allowed access to such power again.

@beeoproblem @arstechnica Long-term, we're going to need to go to a multi-party coalition-style system; it should *never* be the case that any one single party can control all the levers to all the power. That's not a democracy, that's effectively a dictatorship.
@arstechnica The only reason this shit is even going on is we have a Congress controlled by a party which is so in-the-tank for Trump and the Project 2025 movement that they honestly do not give a damn about anyone or anything else.
@QuarkMaker @arstechnica
Capitol Hill Republicans, with a handful of occasional exceptions, have failed to act as a co-equal branch of government.
They must share responsibility for the wrongdoings and corruption of the Trump administration.
The midterm elections may be in autumn, but winter is coming for Capitol Hill Republicans.
@arstechnica you seem to have misspelled the Department of Defense
@ckape @arstechnica Department of War seems more honest. A name that truly reflects the department's reprehensible actions.
