Craig Charles is wrong today: Novocaine for the Soul came out in 1996, not 1997. Not sure the BBC will survive this scandal.

I’d forgotten that Eels were on the Dreamworks record label, which explains why My Beloved Monster was on the Shrek soundtrack.

Rufus Wainwright, whose version of Hallelujah was used on the soundtrack album, was also on Dreamworks. John Cale’s version was actually used in the film.

Very hard to remember a time Before Shrek these days. Tell your kids that there were no Shreks in the 20th century and they look at you like you’re senile.
