Here's one of my odd hobbies.

When I buy a used book that has the prior owner's name in it, and there are enough breadcrumbs, I exercise my research chops and put together a mini-bio of that owner to leave in the book for perpetuity.

Here's one example, a nice copy of the 1930 Random House first trade edition of "Moby Dick" with Rockwell Kent's illustrations, discovered (for short money) at a used book store not far from Bennington, VT where my kid was in college, and once owned by a 14-year-old Roy Korson. He would become Professor Roy Korson, M.D. at the University of Vermont. (2/2)

I absolutely love that cover art. Thank you for crediting it, so I can check out more of his work.

What a fun and creative idea as well!

@timippa Kent's illustrations for this version of Moby Dick (there are several hundred woodcut illustrations throughout) are really wonderful.
