Tonight in #TheLongDark, I decided to explore the abandoned mine passage to the pleasant valley (from coastal valley). I decided to get there via the abandoned lookout, which was the most direct route, but needed a few rope climbs.

Along the way, I ran into a wolf, which was able to get me on the ground, despite me getting a shot off at it from my revolver. I ended up wounding the wolf, and it ran off, but I was also a bit banged up.

Luckily I brought my medical supplies and some cloth/sewing kit to patch myself up.

Further up the trail, I saw where the wolf ended up falling and was able to setup a fire near it and process the carcass and cook the meat. By the time I finished, it was starting to get dark and I was tired, so I took refuge in a small cabin at the base of the climb to the lookout tower.

The next morning, I climbed to the tower, and took a nap to recover my strength. Afterwards, I came down and started to head towards the mine entrance, and ran into another wolf. This time I scared it away with a flare and a revolver shot, and it ran in the opposite direction from where I was heading.

As I approached the mine entrance, I ran into yet another wolf, and scared it away with the remainder of my flare and another revolver shot. This one ran towards the mine entrance and circled around a bit before running past me.

I entered the cave and found a bunch of gear including oil for my lantern, bullets, clothes, etc. The passages were kind of like a maze, but I was able to find my way through and get to the other side. I emerged, drew a charcoal map and then went back the way I came.

On the way back, I explored another trailer near the mine, and got caught in a blizzard. I spent the night in the trailer and read a skills book that I found to pass the time. The walk home was uneventful, and I got to the garage in the coastal townsite without issue.
