Today in #TheLongDark, I crafted the moose hide satchel and did an inventory of the items in my lighthouse store house in preparation for leaving the area.
I'm thinking about heading over to Pleasant Valley next, after I drop some items off at the store house in Coastal Highway.
Unfortunately, I didn't make it to 100 days today, but hopefully will in the next session - so I can claim the Centurion achievement (live 100 days)
There is just nothing quite like the art style of #TheLongDark. Playing the final story episode is bittersweet indeed.
Today in #TheLongDark, I focused on cooking up a bunch of raw meat that I had lying around and I went to the forge on the Riken to craft a bunch of arrowheads.
I also figured out that you can sleep in cars now, which is good to know when you're hit with a blizzard or have a wild animal chasing you (wonder when this changed?)
Next time I think I'm going to craft a Moose Satchel since my moose hide has finally cured :)
Today in #TheLongDark I did a bit more exploring around Desolation Point. I went up to the waterfall area on the top right side of the map and found a cave. After I entered the cave, I had a persistent wolf follow me around, even after I scared it away with a torch and a fire that I made. I couldn't get a good shot at it since the cave was so dark. It ended up attacking me after I got too close to it while holding a torch. After that I peaced out and went somewhere else.

🫎 Crafted the moose-hide satchel. That +5kg bonus will be handy in the near future;
🐺 Crafted the wolfskin coat as well. Wolfies, beware!
🏤 I'm going to stay in Mountain Town a few more days and then I'll head back to Mystery Lake before moving to another region.
Today in #TheLongDark, I spent some time exploring the Hibernia Processing area in Desolation Point.
I scoured the building and surroundings and found the heavy hammer, which should enable me to craft some arrowheads at the forge in the Riken. I also repaired the transmitter, but I'm not sure what it does.
Finally, I ran into a moose, bear and a few wolves. I avoided the moose, got mauled by the bear but got in some shots. I found him dead later, and processed a ton of meat.
Today in #TheLongDark I processed a lot of the moose meat from yesterday's hunt (until I ran out of firewood).
Afterwards I decided to do some exploring, and headed over to the whale processing facility across the bay from the lighthouse. I found a lot of goodies at the facility (e.g. a revolver from an unfortunate soul), and curiously a transmitter that needed some repairs...
A blizzard came while I was exploring the interior, so I guess I'll hold up here for the night.
Today in #TheLongDark, I did a bit of exploring in the Desolation Point area (found a truck and a waterfall), and more importantly...killed a moose!
I noticed it wandering around on an island near the lighthouse and decided to try to take it out with my trusty rifle.
I walked around to the other side of the island to sneak up on it and worked out a system where I'd run around the side of the island, pop off a shot and hide while it bolted around. Only took 5 shots :)
Today in #TheLongDark I headed over to the Riken, which is a wrecked ship stuck in the ice of Desolation Point. I got over to her without issue, and remembered to bring a lantern with me so I could see better inside. I found a few useful items like a crowbar, but the star of the show was the forge deep in the hull. Its used to create arrowheads from scrap metal, but only if you can get it hot enough, and IF you have a heavy hammer. Alas, I didn't have a hammer...
