a coworker has managed to confuse github to such a degree that they now have a pull request which is simultaneously unmerged and successfully merged and deployed to production

in response to this, I made an image of the github unicorn head slapped over the this-is-fine dog image. while uploading it as a slack reaction emojus thing, I got a letter 'g' stuck in the emoji search box, which is not part of my search string and cannot be deleted, it's just hovering there

computers are amazing because they bring lots of exciting new failure modes to everything
also just in case anyone else needs this image for something today

@emily @ozzelot we used to be able to provoke that kind of webapp glitch by using our custom macos keybind dictionary to do something that the underlying text engine can do but the webshit frontend framework doesn't understand
@emily not the same level but in Jira, if you have a task open you can press C to create a subtask. Guess what letter is then placed in the title of the new subtask...
