#Quilting

@inarticulatequilter love this one! All those delightful wonky angles and the stripes!!
@artcollisions thank you! I'm not normally a panel quilter, but I love the way this one turned out, too

@inarticulatequilter Same.

I just bought a peacock panel in the style of Klimt because it's so gorgeous. I will probably cut it up, but for now it's up on my design wall. :D

@artcollisions Have you seen those 7-panel-cut-up-into-hexies quilts? I've put the how-to book on my to-buy list, but they seem so intensive. Having one panel on the wall to be inspired by is definitely the way to go
@inarticulatequilter No! EPP hexies? Sounds like a LOT of work.
@artcollisions more like stack and whack hexies. You use one full panel and then 6 more are cut up identically for the hexagons. If you place them just right, it looks like the panel expands into the rest of the quilt top
@inarticulatequilter @artcollisions I thought it was cool and then I realized each hexagon is made ip of six triangles and that is waaaaaay too much work for one human! Amazing, I could never.
@Bumblefish @inarticulatequilter It is a very pretty effect, but I could never.
@Bumblefish @artcollisions I'm keeping an eye out for a panel I'd be willing to put the work into, but it would have to be a pretty special design to go to all that trouble for (plus 7 panels? $$$$)
