@artcollisions Have you seen those 7-panel-cut-up-into-hexies quilts? I've put the how-to book on my to-buy list, but they seem so intensive. Having one panel on the wall to be inspired by is definitely the way to go
@artcollisions more like stack and whack hexies. You use one full panel and then 6 more are cut up identically for the hexagons. If you place them just right, it looks like the panel expands into the rest of the quilt top
@inarticulatequilter@artcollisions I thought it was cool and then I realized each hexagon is made ip of six triangles and that is waaaaaay too much work for one human! Amazing, I could never.
@Bumblefish@artcollisions I'm keeping an eye out for a panel I'd be willing to put the work into, but it would have to be a pretty special design to go to all that trouble for (plus 7 panels? $$$$)
