I think before we try a Dyson sphere around a star we should start with something small and simple like a magnetar. We can harness some of that magnetic rotor and the Dyson stator can just give us simple free energy

@isaaclyman @NanoRaptor if we put a coil on a high enough pole (handwave techbro materials science something something) then any magnets in the passing debris should induce a current so we can harvest energy *plus* that will gradually slow the debris down until it deorbits
