The Mouse Trap, Mouseboat Massacre, and Screamboat all prove the same point: having access to Mickey Mouse isn’t the same as having an idea. Shock value isn’t a story, and self-awareness isn’t a substitute for creativity. If you’re going to twist an icon, at least understand what made it iconic in the first place.
