πŸͺ‘ An ode to the humble sewing machine. I always make time to photograph old sewers when I see them; here are four of my favourites! Which one do you love the most?

Singer in a collapsing Irish mansion
Jones in a cute English cottage
Original Wilson inside a Belgian chapel
Singer inside an abandoned French chateau

@ObsidianUrbex the Singer on the bottom right reminds me of my gran's (although I'm not sure if hers was a Singer)
@bookworm the original Wilson 🀩

@ObsidianUrbex they all look similar to be honest. Not taking away any awesomeness though! I love them all!

We still have (and use!) a singer featherweight. We don't do a lot of sewing, and it meets our needs. Still perfectly functional. I think it will outlive us 😁

@ObsidianUrbex
Handed down through the family, I've got a Singer exactly like the one shown top left, with wooden cover and keys! Very complicated to use but a delight to see...and (rarely😊) polish!
@ObsidianUrbex The last Singer model is the same of my grand-grandma, with its iron decorated table, for the foot pedal operation.
I think that my sister sold it years ago - we had no more any place for it.
@ObsidianUrbex Amazing the beauty of these well made machines! My first bicycle when I was a kid was a Singer.
