If you're on Office365, the browser-based version of Word includes quite a powerful transcription tool. On the Home toolbar, click on the microphone key, and you will have two option: dictation and (online only) transcription. Quite accurate in my experience, but only for occasional assignment.

@aram Annenberg has its own in-house transcription software. When I need my interviews transcripted, I ask our IT team for help.

    • Worst case I'd manually write some .srt file by hand.

@aram f4 from audiotranskription https://www.audiotranskription.de/en/ bc it’s GDPR compliant and based in Europe. We used it to transcribe sensitive interview data in German. It could handle heavy Swiss German accents and even Swiss German quite accurately
