#subnautica Cyclops was surprisingly easy to build once I found all the blueprints. With there being separate hull, engine & bridge blueprints, I thought I'd have to build the hull then go inside to fit it out, but it's still a 1 step build

Ok, I can still add a lot of stuff, kit it out like a portable base, but that's optional

Other advantage of getting to this game 5 years late - there's so many guides. Mostly been avoiding them 'cos it's my first go (and on survival), but I've now got all the vehicles to upgrade & start investigating alien sites

Still need the big fishtank though.

@patterfloof avoiding guides is very much the right call. the joy of the mystery and the discovery and the slow unfolding of it all is what made that game good.

@Leviamicky honestly, following the PDA, building new things roughly as they become available & using radio signals to guide exploration & find the more advanced materials is kind of enough.

I know there's still stuff to find out there & the game has a machine that'll give me hints

@Leviamicky some of the base tours are neat, though mine's just: Moonpool (with loads of solar & lockers), scanner room & a general biopower + water room. Battery charger & smalluseful things slotted about wherever
@patterfloof yeh, don’t go nuts, keep it functional and “enough”
