Coca Cola seems desperate to regain lost customers by trying to intergrade - Lemmy.World

There is a pretty big movement in Denmark that tried to avoid US products and companies based in Denmark. I assume this is why they have launched a massive campaign where they use local sayings in a humorous way. You can read more and see more examples here: https://markedsforing.dk/artikler/nyheder/coca-cola-leger-med-sproget-stoerste-rent-danske-kampagne-nogensinde/ [https://markedsforing.dk/artikler/nyheder/coca-cola-leger-med-sproget-stoerste-rent-danske-kampagne-nogensinde/] Are there any other similar attempts where you are, where they or other US companies try to regain market share?

I saw these ads and was surprised at how transparent they are. But maybe only to people who are already on the “let’s not feed the superpower as it falls into outright fascism” train?
I mean, “falling into” is a funny thing to say considering how the company was doing in the 30’s and 40’s…

What’s wrong with Fanta?
Fanta is probably the worst example I can think of for having a different recipe depending on where it is. So maybe whatever is wrong with Fanta is just where they live.
Lays chips in Canada redesigned their packaging last year to add a sizable “Made in Canada” logo on it. They knew people would care enough about it that they didn’t just put a sticker.

intergrade

Is that the word you wanted?

I am not sure… It would be in my main language but may mean something else in english?

I meant it is the same way as ‘assimilate’ but I don’t really know what would be most appropriate

Integrate. Easy mistake, sounds the same

Maybe shouldn’tve give a presidential coca cola to an openly fascist dorito.
