Some in progress #ttrpg #terrrain tiles. stone floor, wood floor, and volcanic rock with lava streams. The lava is hot glue! sneaky cheap and a sinch to work with.

Painting is so satisfying. 😁

I rushed the lava colors so as penance I'm going to have to redo them tomorrow. But overall quite happy with the look.

With a bit of planning I can use the same approach as the lava tiles to create modular, connected river tiles. Just have to make sure the edges and corners line up.

not real happy with the final paint job on the lava. Looks okay at a glance but kind of wonky close up. I don't like the coverage I got from the vallejo paints on the hot glue. Think this is an instance of cheaper, thicker paint being better for the job. but i don't have any $1 red, orange and yellow atm...

Do you have activated carbon (from aquarium)? I love using that to texture volcano tiles.

@Artemis201 I do! but these are reversible, so i gotta have flat surfaces. I could probably make it work, but eh. Good enough so far 😁
