The European Parliament is voting again THURSDAY 26th at 11:00 on Chat Control. The Commission, Council, multiple tech giants, the Conservatives (EPP), and several MEPs from S&D and Renew stand united in favouring indiscriminate mass surveillance.

Tell them NO: https://fightchatcontrol.eu/

@chatcontrol @echo_pbreyer So let me see if I understood: Parlament voted No. LIBE voted No. And then the re vote is marked with 9 days until the expiration date.

If this one comes out as a (hopefully not) 'Yes' to mass scanning - then what? It's 2 No's to 1 yes. Then what? Is it accepted, gone through with that answer? Is it marinated in nothing? More votes?

Does the two other no's mean absolutely nothing to the point they can just demand another vote? Surely, this is not democratic?

@Null03 @chatcontrol @echo_pbreyer it feels like the people pushing for this should be investigated for corruption. There is no way this is a normal

@Watchdog_Polska
Czy wiadomo czy politycy co sobie te bzdury wymyślają dostają regularnie w łapę? 😁💃

@nihilistic_capybara @Null03 @chatcontrol @echo_pbreyer @Watchdog_Polska I think this is largely „I'm sure it's fine either way” mentality. It's absurd, but what can you do?
@tragivictoria @Null03 @chatcontrol @echo_pbreyer @Watchdog_Polska perhaps but why not send a messate to OLAF about Peter Hummelgaard. Right?
@Null03 @echo_pbreyer ... and this is why the repeat vote undermines the Parliament's institutional integrity as also noted by MEP Irena Joveva earlier today.
@chatcontrol @echo_pbreyer Already sent and prepared emails for tomorrow. It's the audacity that irks me. Quite literally, what stops us from coming forward and saying, the next day also, "Actually no! I want another re-vote too!" Like, my god..
You know the saying, "evil only needs to win once"
@Null03 @chatcontrol @echo_pbreyer I think is better to call the MEPs instead, a call is harder to ignore than an email
