UN votes to recognise enslavement of Africans as 'gravest crime against humanity'

The landmark resolution calls for an apology and contributions to a reparations fund, without specifying an amount.

Of course, ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ท voted no against this resolution, but a big group of 52 countries also abstained, mostly from ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ (and yes, that includes ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฑ as well). So much for showing remorse and turning a blind eye against their own history. ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™‚๏ธ ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿฝ

What did you expect from countries (governments) supporting a genocide?

@freediverx @ryanjess77

Neither Spain nor Ireland support the genocide in Gaza...

@grb090423 @freediverx @ryanjess77 Exceptions donโ€™t break the rule and all that.

And Spain were slave traders.

@aral @freediverx @ryanjess77

No, you're right, they don't, and yes Spain absolutely was (like most European countries). I was just pointing out the stance of both countries in the Gaza genocide matter. Good has to be acknowledged sometimes for it to be able to contiue and hopefully spread.

Now that awards are being given out, the current contestants are jealous.
