If you could use a splash of colour from some good things here is some early autumn #soilspondence
Had a few late summer frosts that knocked down a fair bit of fruiting and leafy veg. Impossible at our scale to frost protect the outer fields. The fruit trees were luckily unphased and we're continuously harvesting apples and the start of an absolute bumper crop of delicious pears.
Used the kneejerk shift to a week of very warm days, albeit very cold nights, to get winter greens and veg sprouted in the kitchen garden. If you are rural or semi rural, there are heaps of ends if rolls and offcuts of sheep mesh fencing about and it makes a super fast, sturdy and easy "micro" tunnel house form. With the downwind end opened got great day warmth yet ventilated and enough night protection to get winter radishes, spinaches, lettuces, greens, and roots off to a great start.
I missed peak colour and variety for a photo but twas a festive mushroom season in the timber orchard.
Stay vertical and garden hard!
