How to help those impacted by the Hawaii floods

Hawaii communities are digging out from the state’s worst flooding in more than 20 years, and aid groups are rushing to support them by raising money statewide. Two Kona low storms hit about a week apart damaging crops, homes, schools, and a hospital. Some areas lack power and face boil water notices. Governor Josh Green says losses could pass $1 billion and has asked President Donald Trump for a major disaster declaration. Lahui Foundation is accepting donations to support distributing supplies to Oahu’s North Shore families and helping them clean out homes, attracting support from North Shore-born musician Jack Johnson.
