Not at all surprised that Star Trek teen show no one asked for got cancelled. I am surprised that somehow it got renewed for a 2nd season first.

Hopefully this puts an end to the terrible 32nd century timeline. Don't think throughout that entire timeline there was a single new character that was in any way interesting.

@paul I love you Paul, but I loved SFA too, and I have room in my heart for both of you. Come on man, let it in.
@Aaronvegh I really tried but every time I watch I think “this could've been spent on more episodes of Brave New World or Lower Decks”.

@paul @Aaronvegh Each to their own, right? But I’m with you Paul. SNW and LD are peak NuTrek and I would much prefer more of them.

I tried, but really just could not get into SFA, even now sighing thinking that I still have to get through the season finale (I’m a sad completionist in that way).

@paul Startleet Academy’s first season, which is all that has aired, was some of the best Star Trek that’s been on TV. I’m sorry you didn’t care for it, but I hope that this creative team keeps making new Star Trek in the 32nd, or any, century.
@joesteel @paul I do not love the 32nd century, either, with its personal transporters, detached nacelles and programmable matter, but I did love Starfleet Academy. Lots of great characters, from Ake down to Kyle, the guy with like five lines who you somehow love.
@paul is phoneix still happening?
@paul
(Many) Star Trek fans want visionary sci-fi, not drama slop with a sci-fi theme.
@paul I think the 32nd century timeline, and even Academy in particular, gave them an opportunity to give us some good, classic trek as they re-established the Federation. They didn’t really take that opportunity, unfortunately.
@paul sorry you didn't like it. A lot of people, including me, did. I fully expected to not enjoy it, and I was pleasantly surprised. It was far better than it had any right to be, and had hands-down some of the best writing in any Star Trek, which is especially amazing considering it was a first-season effort.
@paul it wasn’t good but it wasn’t actively bad as STD was.
@paul "How dare they make a show I don't like, this is *my* franchise"
@paul To be fair, we have been asking for a SFA show for ages... But we wanted it in the TNG/DS9/VOY timeline with tons of cameos.
@paul The Star Trek Universe is a big place, seems like room enough for new ideas. I liked SFA, but even had I not, still glad they added something different to canon.
