Sitka has had 58.8" this season - the 2nd highest total on record (since 2007 at least). The highest was 77.4" in 2011-12.
Rick Thoman@SilverSalmonAK To be clear, this is from the Sitka Waste Water Treatment Plant cooperative observations, which only start in 2008. From the Sitka Magnetic Observatory climate obs (closed 1990), highest snow was 129.8 inches in 1975-76, Sitka Airport (snow obs ended 1996) 91.6 inches the same winter.
