#WIPWednesday : At our monthly meeting, a woman turned up with her mom's old #BobbinLlace equipment and books she wanted to donate--had searched for 3 years to find a group to give it to. All she asked was that if we could give her the works in progress on the pillows--her mom's work--if at all possible. She didn't know how to finish and remove them. Someone in my group took this Bruges flower to finish. 1/2

But I got a different challenge. I got the pillow with the tangle. But I kind of love a tangle challenge. The first rule of untangle: work the lowest (closest to you) tangle first. Work up. And I got there! I did a few stitches to stabilize the end and tied it off. I'll give it an Orvus wash later.

When we get the other piece we'll send it back to her. I hope she can do something nice with it. #BobbinLace #WIPWednesday 2/2

@mem_somerville good thing your kitty was there to supervise, always helping.
@mem_somerville That’s beautiful work in many ways and well supervised.
@mem_somerville
Untangling is so very satisfying.
I hope she finds a good use for the piece & it stays in use in the family.
@kelkyag It was very satisfying. And I'm surprised it worked out with only one thread breaking. One more broken when I tried to do the final stitches. But it didn't matter, I was mostly tying those off.
