Is weird obsession with prime numbers an autism thing? I've always liked prime numbers for some reason. It's sort of an extra giggle or something when my age in years is a prime number.

@JeremyMallin No idea, but my calendar glitch inside my ADHD compensates with math, not actual knowledge of day, time, year....

@JeremyMallin I'm not so good with numbers but my extra giggle comes from when I'm told at a till what my shopping amounts to and it sounds like a year, and an even bigger thrill if I know of something that happened in that year. (admittedly it only happens when I spend under £20.26 at the moment)

I can confirm that a neurotypical brain can also be tickled by prime numbers appearing in random places, if the brain is sufficiently nerdy 🤓

@JeremyMallin I like music with alternating 11 and 5 beat meter.

@JeremyMallin Yay, I've found another fellow prime number enjoyer on fedi!

Prime numbers are one of my current fixations as well, especially Mersenne primes. I've always had an obsession with numbers, but prime numbers in particular as of 2023.

It's just amazing how people can find numbers tens of millions of digits long, yet their only divisors are one and itself.
